
Rev Dr Adam Koontz
Adam Koontz served on the faculty of Concordia Theological Seminary from Fall 2019 until Spring 2022. A 2014 CTS MDiv alumnus, he was the pastor of Mount Calvary, Lititz, Pennsylvania, and planted Concordia, Myerstown, Pennsylvania. He successfully defended his dissertation on the imitation of Paul in the Greco-Roman world in January 2020 and was awarded the PhD in Religion from Temple University in May 2020.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and raised in a small town in central Pennsylvania on the Appalachian Trail, he met and married his wife, Jennifer, while an honors major in comparative literature at Swarthmore College outside Philadelphia. He and Jen have nine children.
He serves as Pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Oakmont, Pennsylvania.

Rev Willie Grills
Willie Grills was born in Huntington, West Virginia, and raised in a small town in eastern Kentucky, among the Appalachian mountains. He received bachelor’s degrees in Humanities, Greek, and New Testament studies from Kentucky Christian University. While there he met his wife, Angelica. They have three boys.
Pastor Grills holds a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He serves as pastor of Zion Lutheran Church of Avilla, Alexander, Arkansas.
